Parul Dutt focuses her practice on corporate law and finance. She works extensively with emerging companies and counsels them in areas of incorporation, private equity financing, joint ventures, securities regulation, and other general corporate matters. Ms. Dutt also regularly counsels clients on intellectual property matters, including trademark searches and registration, handling office actions responses and third party oppositions, and intellectual property licensing. Because of her international legal background, she plays a key role in the firm’s international practice.
Ms. Dutt has received her LL.M. (Masters in Law) degree from UC Hastings College of the Law, San Francisco, where she concentrated in international business law and taxation. While in law school, Ms. Dutt was a part of UC Hastings Negotiation and Mediation team and participated in inter-school negotiation competitions. Ms. Dutt has received her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Faculty of Law, Delhi University. She is admitted to practice law in both India and California, allowing her to easily bridge borders for her international clients.
Ms. Dutt actively promotes entrepreneurship among youth and women. She volunteers her time at the Haas Center of Public Service at Stanford, Inner City Advisors, Oakland, and the South Asian Bar Association’s Lawyers in the Library Program. In addition, Ms. Dutt provides pro bono legal services to victims of domestic violence.
